Quick Answer — Statuario Marble in Bangalore

Statuario is a premium white marble quarried in the Carrara region of Tuscany, Italy, recognised by its bright white background and bold, well-defined grey veining. In Bangalore, genuine Statuario is available in five grades — Extra, Altissimo, Classico, Venato and Gold — priced from ₹700 to ₹2,500+ per square foot ex-Kishangarh. Bhutra Marble supplies all five grades directly from its Kishangarh yard with insured delivery across Bengaluru.

What Is Statuario Marble?

Statuario is one of the rarest and most valued white marbles in the world. It comes from the same Tuscan quarries that produced the marble used in Renaissance sculpture, and its name derives from the Italian word for statue.

Two things define it: a bright white background — brighter and cleaner than Carrara — and bold grey veining that runs in defined, confident lines rather than soft feathering. Because the quarry yield is limited, Statuario has always sat at the top of the white marble price ladder.

An important correction that matters when you are buying: Statuario is Italian marble, not travertine, and it does not come from Turkey or Pakistan. Several supplier websites state otherwise. If a seller cannot tell you the quarry region, treat the material as unverified.

Statuario Marble Grades — And Why the Price Varies So Much

Most suppliers list Statuario as a single product with one price. It is not. Statuario is graded, and the grade determines both the look and the cost. This is the single most useful thing to understand before you buy.

Grade Appearance Best for Price (ex-Kishangarh)
Statuario Venato White base, finer and denser grey veining Large floor areas where a uniform look matters ₹700 – ₹2,500+
Statuario Classico Balanced white base with clear grey veins Living room and main hall flooring ₹850 – ₹2,500+
Statuario Extra Brightest white, bold clean veins, high contrast Statement flooring, feature walls ₹1,200 – ₹2,500+
Statuario Altissimo Purest white, minimal veining Luxury bathrooms, vanities, temple and pooja rooms ₹1,500 – ₹2,500+
Statuario Gold White base with warm golden veining Feature walls, reception counters, bar tops ₹1,800 – ₹2,500+

Indicative ex-Kishangarh rates. Add transport and handling to Bengaluru. Current rates on request.

Beyond these five grades, Statuario is also available in colour variations that many buyers do not know exist — Gold, Brown, Beige, Grey and Black Statuario, along with rarer sub-varieties like Arabescato Statuario and Crystal Statuario. These are quoted separately and are usually selected for feature walls, dining tables and accent applications rather than full flooring. Our complete Statuario buying guide covers all ten varieties with photographs of each.

Notice the upper end is similar across grades — that is because within any grade, an exceptional lot with rare veining commands a premium. The starting price is what separates them.
If someone quotes you Statuario at ₹200–₹300 per square foot, it is not Statuario. At that rate you are almost certainly being shown an Indian or Vietnamese white marble described with an Italian name.

Statuario Marble Price in Bangalore

The rates above are ex-Kishangarh — the price of the slab at our yard. To reach a landed Bengaluru cost, add:

  • Transport: approximately ₹35–₹50 per sq. ft. from Kishangarh to Bengaluru, depending on load size and season
  • Handling and crating: included in our dispatch; slabs travel in wooden crates
  • Installation: ₹80–₹150 per sq. ft. depending on the contractor, layout complexity and site access
  • Wastage: plan 10–12% for standard layouts; 15–20% for diagonal patterns, bookmatching or irregular rooms

For a 1,500 sq. ft. Bengaluru apartment floor in Statuario Classico, the material budget alone would start around ₹12.75 lakh ex-Kishangarh before transport and installation. Knowing this upfront prevents the most common problem we see — a project that stalls halfway because only the slab rate was budgeted. you can also check our Italian marble price guide for all India.

Statuario marble price in India is broadly consistent across cities at the source; what changes is the transport component and the local dealer margin. Buying direct from Kishangarh removes the second one.

18 MM or 20 MM — Which Thickness for Bangalore?

For flooring and high-traffic areas, 20 mm is the safer choice. It resists cracking during transport and handling, and gives a more substantial edge profile on staircases and countertops.

18 mm works well for wall cladding, feature panels and bookmatched installations where the reduced weight is an advantage — particularly relevant in Bengaluru’s high-rise apartments where panel weight affects the installation method.

Statuario slab size at our yard is typically 10×6 ft or 9×5 ft, varying by lot. For large continuous floors, we recommend reserving from a single lot to keep the background tone consistent.

How to Verify Genuine Statuario Before You Buy

The single most reliable check costs nothing: wet the slab. Water reveals the true background tone and vein colour, which polish and showroom lighting both disguise. A slab that looks bright white under showroom LEDs can read grey or yellow once installed. other imported white marble options.

Beyond that:

  • Check the veining direction. Statuario veining is directional and confident. Engineered or reconstituted stone shows a repeating pattern; look across several slabs from the same lot for repeats.
  • Ask for the lot number. Genuine imported slabs carry a lot identifier. If the supplier cannot produce it, the material’s origin cannot be confirmed.
  • See the full slab, not a sample. A 12-inch sample tells you nothing about how veining behaves across a 60 sq. ft. slab.
  • Compare against a known Carrara. Placed side by side, Statuario’s background is visibly brighter and its veins more defined. If the difference is not obvious, question the grade.

At our Kishangarh yard, buyers inspect full slabs under natural light before committing. For Bengaluru clients who cannot travel, we send live slab video with water applied and the lot tag visible in frame.

Statuario vs Carrara vs Calacatta — What Bengaluru Buyers Ask

Carrara has a softer grey-white background with fine, feathered veining. It is the most economical of the three and reads calm rather than dramatic.

Calacatta has a thicker, more dramatic vein — often with gold or warm brown tones — on a white base. It is bolder than Statuario and typically used in smaller statement areas.

Statuario sits between the two: brighter than Carrara, more restrained than Calacatta. For a full-floor application where you want the material to feel luxurious without dominating the room, Statuario is usually the right answer.

Statuario Marble in Bengaluru — Applications and Delivery

Bengaluru interiors tend towards lighter, understated palettes, and Statuario suits that direction well. In the projects we supply to the city, the most common applications are living room and main hall flooring, TV feature walls in bookmatched pairs, master bathroom vanities, and staircase cladding.

Bengaluru’s humidity is worth planning for. Marble itself handles it well, but the installation matters — use a proper adhesive rather than a thick mortar bed, ensure the substrate is fully cured before laying, and seal the surface after installation. Poorly bedded marble in a humid climate can show moisture staining from below within a year, and that is an installation failure, not a material one.

We deliver across Bengaluru including Whitefield, Koramangala, Indiranagar, Hebbal, Sarjapur Road, Electronic City, Jayanagar and Yelahanka, and to Mysuru, Mangaluru and Hubballi. Transit from Kishangarh is typically 4–6 days. Slabs travel crated and insured, and we share dispatch photographs before the vehicle leaves. other Italian marble varieties we deliver to Bangalore

Why Buy Statuario from Kishangarh Instead of a Bengaluru Dealer

Kishangarh is where most imported marble physically enters the Indian market. Buying at the source means:

  • First pick of fresh lots — before they are broken up and distributed
  • Wholesale rates without an intermediary margin
  • A far wider grade selection than a retail showroom holds
  • Lot reservation for large projects, so your entire floor comes from matched material

Bhutra Marble has operated from Kishangarh since 1978 with over 600 stone varieties in stock. Every slab passes our MAS eight-step augmentation process before dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Statuario marble price in Bangalore? Statuario marble in Bangalore starts at ₹700 per sq. ft. ex-Kishangarh for Statuario Venato, rising to ₹1,800+ for Statuario Gold. Premium lots within any grade reach ₹2,500 and above. Add roughly ₹35–₹50 per sq. ft. for transport to Bengaluru. WhatsApp us for today’s exact rate.

Which Statuario grade is best for flooring in Bengaluru? For large continuous floors, Statuario Venato or Classico give the most uniform result. For a statement floor in a smaller area — an entrance foyer or formal living room — Statuario Extra delivers stronger contrast. We help you match grade to area size, lighting and budget.

How do I know if the Statuario marble is genuine? Wet the slab to check the true background tone, ask for the lot number, inspect the full slab rather than a sample, and confirm the quarry region. Genuine Statuario comes from the Carrara region of Italy. Anything quoted below ₹500 per sq. ft. is unlikely to be authentic Statuario.

What thickness of Statuario marble should I use? 20 mm for flooring, staircases and countertops; 18 mm for wall cladding and bookmatched feature panels. Both are available and can be cut to custom thickness on order.

Do you deliver Statuario marble to Bangalore? Yes. We provide crated and insured delivery from Kishangarh to all areas of Bengaluru — Whitefield, Koramangala, Indiranagar, Hebbal, Sarjapur Road, Electronic City and more — as well as Mysuru, Mangaluru and Hubballi. Transit is typically 4–6 days, and you can select slabs by live video before dispatch.

How much wastage should I plan for a Statuario floor? Plan 10–12% for standard straight-lay layouts and 15–20% for diagonal patterns, bookmatching or rooms with irregular geometry. Order the full quantity in one go — matching a later top-up from a different lot is difficult with Statuario.
